SIT National Conference PsyCare presents the preliminary abstract “PsAIcare: real-time emotional recognition via AI for telepsichology”

The recent SIT (Italian Society of Telemedicine) conference entitled “Telemedicine Today: A Tool for Good Governance of Technological Healthcare“, held in Bologna from 29 to 31 May 2025, represented a multidisciplinary crossroads of great interest, focusing on topics such as telemedicine, Artificial Intelligence, care models, sustainability and the right to health, within the framework of an event that combined science, ethics and innovation. Among the numerous sessions and presentations, a prominent role was played by the interventions dedicated toImpact of AI on digital mental health.

It is precisely in this context that the psAIcare team had the opportunity to present its innovative software, arousing interest among industry professionals. Labstract by psAIcare entitled “psAIcare: real-time emotional recognition via AI for telepsychology” It was selected and included among the interventions focused on the influence of AI on the digital mental health landscape.

During the presentation, the team illustrated the key features of psAIcare, a software designed for support mental health professionals which has been integrated with an artificial intelligence algorithm specifically developed for detect primary emotions during sessions therapeutic.

With psAIcare it is also possible take note directly within the software during the session, insert themes usually addressed in session and indicators specific to each session. It is also possible to edit the notes before saving them in PDF format, ensuring flexibility and accuracy in documentation. Furthermore, the algorithm designed for psAIcare returns graphs and reports relating to the analysis of the emotions experienced in the session, the trend of the emotional state of the patient/user over a time frame selectable by the therapist, as well as the correlations between specific emotions and the topics discussed during the sessions.

The presentation generated a lively debate with numerous questions from the audience, a sign that psAIcare is starting to capture the attention and curiosity of industry insiders. This positive response to the SIT 2025 Conference confirms the potential of psAIcare in implementing the digital mental health approach, offering concrete and innovative tools for professionals.
