Fee payments must be made through clearly identifiable and traceable channels. It is clear that cash payments are not traceable. However, payments made via POS terminals (debit cards, credit cards, prepaid cards), bank or postal transfer, checks, and electronic payment systems are traceable.

Let’s clarify.
In accordance with art. 1, paragraphs 679 and 680 of the Budget Law 200 n. 160/2019 (published in OJ on 30.12.2019), it is expected that starting January 1, 2020, individual taxpayers will be allowed, in their tax returns, a 19% deductibility of the expenses referred to in Article 15 of the consolidated income tax act, including medical expenses, only if the payment is made by bank or postal transfer or with other traceable payment methods – bank transfers, checks, credit, debit, or prepaid cards – the under penalty of forfeiture of the deduction.

The health services offered by psychologists and psychotherapists They can therefore be tax deductible for patients: for this to be possible, payments must be made in a traceable manner.

With PsyCare, payment is easy, safe and compliant with the law

Therefore, payments for healthcare services, including those of psychiatrists and psychotherapists, must be made through identifiable and traceable channels. PsyCare offers an integrated online payment service: compliant with regulations, facilitating the work of professionals, and completely secure.
