Let’s discover together the online group therapy integrated into PsyCare.

Online group therapy at PsyCare

The setting for online group therapy It should be understood as a natural evolution of the traditional therapeutic setting; today it is a consolidated reality and can be identified as the new gateway to the study.

At PsyCare, this aspect is of primary importance because, as with individual therapy, online group therapy also aims to replicate the therapist/patient encounter that occurs in person in the office.

The setting in the online group therapy

In the online group therapy”, As in the case of in-person training, some characteristic and essential aspects of the setting must be taken into consideration:

  • in each session, the patient always sees the therapist in the same position on the screen (currently his reference box is in the top left of the screen);
  • in each session, the patient always sees the co-therapist in the same position on the screen (currently adjacent to the therapist);
  • Each patient always maintains the same position in the online group session, meaning that their viewing box will always be the same for the other participants in the session;
  • In the online group session, therapists will see the first and last names of each patient within the group; patients, however, will see the first and last names of the other participants. only the name
  • in case of absent participants, the position display in the online group is maintained and, instead of the name, the text absent will appear;
  • The therapist has the possibility (also from the side menu) to mute the microphone of one or more participants and to inhibit their own and their co-therapist’s visualization during the session.

Co-therapist: an integrated approach

Some therapies are more effective if guided by two therapists. This approach is called co-therapy and can be applied at an individual, couple or family level; co-therapy involves the joint, integrated and synergistic work of two professionals and offers great benefits. First of all, It represents a context of collaboration, coordination, joint and complementary work that benefits the patient. In PsyCare, you can now do it online too!
